Keenon Jackson a.k.a. Young Gangster a.k.a. YG is a rapper with a net worth of $1.55 million. Coming up as one of the most popular street rappers in L.A., YG made his break into the mainstream by capitalizing on a strong online following. To date he has released several successful mixtapes and singles including the 2013 hit “My Nigga.”
Born in Compton, YG got his start by making mixtapes and releasing tracks online. He gained an early following from singles like “She A Model” and “Aim Me.” This success led to a record deal with Def Jam in 2009.
After signing to Def Jam, YG continued to put out mixtapes and singles. The song “Toot It and Boot It,” which features Ty Dolla Sign, came out in 2010, and was the first radio hit for both artists. This was followed up by more singles like “I’m Good” and “Bitches Ain’t Shit,” which featured Tyga and Nipsey Hussle.
In 2008, YG teamed up with his friend and collaborator DJ Mustard to create their own record label called Pu$haz Ink. The label currently operates independently with YG as its CEO. The current Pu$haz Ink roster includes YG, DJ Mustard, Ty Dolla Sign, PC, Reem Riches, and TeeCee4800.
My Krazy Life

joint venture between Def Jam, Pu$haz Ink, and Young Jeezy’s label CTE World.
The album’s lead single was “My Nigga” (featuring Rich Homie Quan and Young Jeezy). This song became YG’s biggest hit to date, charting at number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100. From the album also came the singles “Left, Right” and “Who Do You Love” (featuring Drake).
YG has also become a popular guest star, and has been featured on tracks by artists like Nipsey Hussle, Young Jeezy, Freddie Gibbs, Travis Porter, and E-40.
Throughout his rap career, YG has also been promoting his own clothing line called 4Hunnid or 400. The line includes a range of clothing and accessories including hats, backpacks, t-shirts, and hoodies.
After gaining attention as a mainstream hip-hop artist, YG made his breakthrough into the acting world in 2012. His first major role was a cameo appearance in “Mac & Devin Go to High School” starring Snoop Dogg and Whiz Khalifa. He also played a supporting role in the 2012 film “We the Party.”
