Jahron Anthony Brathwaite a.k.a. PartyNextDoor is a singer, songwriter, rapper, and producer with a net worth of $200,000. Hailing from Mississauga, Ontario, PartyNextDoor was the first artist to be signed to Drake’s OVO Sound record label. His debut album, “PartyNextDoor Two” hit number one on the Billboard R&B / Hip Hop album chart and established PartyNextDoor as a name to watch in the alternative R&B and experimental hip-hop genres.
OVO’s Very Own
After establishing OVO Sound in 2012 through a partnership with Warner Brothers Records, Drake posted a single called “Make a Mil” by PartyNextDoor on his OVO blog in April 2013. Soon after, Drake announced that the 19-year old singer/rapper and fellow Ontarian would become the first official OVO signing.
PartyNextDoor’s self-titled debut EP, released in July 2013, became OVO Sound’s first official release. The EP managed to generate a good deal of hype, and ended up hitting number 34 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Later in 2013, PartyNextDoor garnered more attention when he contributed backing vocals to the songs “Come Thru” and “Own It” on Drake’s number one album “Nothing Was the Same.”
PartyNextDoor was then invited on Drake’s worldwide “Would You Like a Tour” concert series, which hit 61 cities throughout North America and Europe in 2013 and 2014 including New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin.
In July 2014, PartyNextDoor released his full-length debut, “PartyNextDoor Two.” The album charted well, hitting number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and number one on the Billboard R&B / Hip Hop album chart in its first week. As with his previous album, PartyNextDoor produced the full-length debut himself, although he brought in co-producers Neenyo and Ry to help out with a few tracks. The album contained the single “Recognize” featuring Drake as a guest rapper.
